Sadly...

...coming to an end. Summer with the Arts is sadly, but wonderfully coming to the end! :( I am so sad and will miss the kids I am working with so much! I will miss their excited spirits each morning, I will miss seeing their love for music, and I will miss just simply being with them every day. I would love to work with kids like this all day long every day(but leave out the tired part please). I hope that everyone else working at Summer with the Arts is enjoying pouring their hearts out into those kids, and the music, as much as I am. I feel like a proud parent seeing all of the kids in my group sing those songs and do the motions to all of the songs. It is one AMAZING week....and I love it so much! I really, seriously can't tell you how much I love it. Let me just say that you have to experience this week to see why I love it so much! Thanks for reading~Bailey~Psalm 56:3~

Summer with the Arts!!!!!!

Yay!!!!!!!!! Summer with the Arts officially started today....yippee! I can not tell you how much I love working at SWTA! If you do not know what in the world SWTA is and you are thinking " why is she posting about this when I don't know what it is", then you can continue reading....!

Everyone (kindergardeners- 5th graders, youth helpers(me), and adults) get to Rich Fork at 9:00am. Everyone then splits up into different groups, and those groups go to different classes. The different classes are- Drama, Theory, Handbells, Recreation, and Piano Lab. Once they have gone to their classes everyone comes together for lunch(that the volunteers cook for you each day). After that the Kin., 1st, 2nd, and 3rd graders go to story telling and Choreography and the 4th and 5th graders go to Choreography and handbells(to actually learn to play a song). After those classes Everyone gathers back together to learn to sing the songs for the musical that everyone will present at the end of the week. Anyway, all together it is a busy and tiring week, but you have a wonderful time pouring your heart out into the kids that you are working with(and greatly enjoy yourself doing it)! Thanks for reading~Bailey~Pslam 56:3~

P.S. I am working with the 1st and 2nd graders!!!!! Love them to pieces!!!

Maggie's Adventure

Thursday I wrote a children's book called "Maggie's Adventure" .....I thought that you might enjoy reading it!

Maggie had a box, a pink box. With this box and a handful of imagination, she could go anywhere, from the deserts of Africa to the rainforests of Brazil, all in her backyard!

One day Maggie was playing outside. In her backyard she had a magnificent swing set. She decided that she would travel the world that day.

First she had to cross the raging waters of a river in a rain forest. “ I guess I will have to swing on the vines, just like the monkeys do.” She said excitedly.

After swinging on the vines in the jungle she came to a river that had a bridge that was broken. “I suppose that I will have to swim across.” Maggie said eagerly.

Once Maggie had swam across the river she found a beach. “I think that I am going to have a little fun and build a sandcastle!”

Once Maggie had built her sandcastle she came to a beautiful little house. Then she said, “ It doesn’t appear that anyone is home, so I think that I will go on inside.”

After she had gone into the little house, she came to a humongus, towering mountain. “holy moly!” She exclaimed, “ I am going to try and climb it.”

After she came to the top of the mountain she saw that it was getting dark outside, so she headed back down the mountain, to make her long journey home. She passed the little house, the beautiful beach, the peaceful river, the jungle, and finally she was back home.

Her mother had a warm dinner waiting on the table just for her. Maggie had a great day traveling the world, but she was glad to be home with her family!

The End!!!!!!

I hope you enjoyed "Maggie's Adventure"! Thanks for reading~Bailey~Psalm 56:3~
