Home Sweet Home

Really.....Home Sweet Home! It is so nice to sleep in my own bed. Anyway incase you didn't know we have been home a full week! Sonia is doing absolutely fabulous. Right now she is eating yogurt and apple jacks, which she loves. It is so great to be home and your prayers were greatly needed! Now on to a different subject.....Christmas. Wow, it is so crazy I left on thanksgiving and now it is Christmas! Only one week from today! I have a question, What is your family tradition for celebrating Christmas? I usally go to my mom's parents house on Christmas day, and then we go to my dad's parents house with my dad's side of the family a few days later. I love the Christmas season. We also have a Christmas eve service at my church each year. Also one of the church members has a party on Christmas eve that we go to each year! Make sure to tell me what your family traditions are at Christmas time! Thanks for reading~ Bailey~Psalm 56:3~

More Questions

Here are even more questions that people asked me:
Breanna:
Does Sonia Talk? No not yet, although we have heard her babble a bit in her sleep and she sung once in my mom's lap.
How old is she? She is a year and 7 and 1\2 months old, (and as cute as she could be)!
Is she happy to be out of the orphanage? Well I would think it would, but she has been there since she was 9 months old. Whenever she gets up from nap or wakes up in the morning she is very confused. I am very glad she is out of the orphanage.
When is her birthday? Her birthday is April 14, 2008!That is a week before my mom's!
What is your favorite dish so far?Well we really don't have main dishes it is just lots of rice, fresh fruits, and some things that we have at home.

Wendi:
Have you seen anything interesting on the TV?Well all we have watched is soccer, because everything else is in French! I need to watch icarly(my favorite TV show)!
What is the most surprising part of your trip so far? It is definitely a lot harder than I thought it would be. The hardest thing is you get so tired and when I get tired I get weepy. Prayers please!

Anna Gray:
What is the temperature like there? It depends on the day, today it is kind of hot, but the breeze is so nice! Sunday it was cool, Monday it was warm and yesterday, it was kind of hot.

Aunt Becky:
Do they have coke or pepsi?
Yes, they have coke, I am not sure about pepsi.

Thank you all for your prayers and please keep praying! I am going to post pictures of the gardens soon and some of Sonia! Thanks again~ Bailey~Psalm 56:3~

Questions

Here are some of the questions that people asked me:

Wendi and Jessica: What is the food like?
The food here is pretty good! The bananas and the mango are my favorite so far. They have rice, bread, watermelon, eggs, milk, meat, and many other things. We have to drink bottled water because of the different things in their water. That also means that we cannot have lettuce and vegetables that have to be rinsed, because they have to be rinsed in that water. I am missing those vegetables so much! The bananas and the mango are so good, they taste much better than the stuff at home. They also have much more flavor. I had to take malaria medicine and it tore up my stomach, so I am just recovering from that. Can you please pray for me?

Gaylin: What is your hotel like?
Our hotel is very nice, no we do not have a kitchen, all we have is a fridge. We have two rooms but we move the mattresses into one room for bedtime. We also have a TV,(a big one too). It is nice to have two bathrooms, and for Sonia's nap time it is handy to have two rooms. We do keep the girl things in one room and the boy stuff in the other. It always happen that we hang out in the boy room way more. The outside at the hotel is gorgeous. If I told you all about it, it would take hours, so I will tell you that they were picking the weeds out of the grass! Who does that in the US? That might give you an idea of what it looks like.

Sonia is transitioning so well! If you would like to see pictures you can go to my moms blog! This is officially the hardest trip I have ever taken. Anyway if you have anymore questions go ahead and ask, now you see I love to answer them! Thanks for your prayers~ Bailey~Psalm 56:3
